Perfect for swimming pools, wastewater treatment facilities, or corrosive environments where metal valves would be susceptible to damage. The fully-guided conical-ball design ensures the seal is aligned correctly for a secure seal, even under varying backpressures. Made from 100% virgin resins, these valves are compatible with both Schedule 40 and 80 pipes and can easily be converted into foot valves by adding a UPVC strainer (sold separately). With a full port and uni-directional flow, pressure drop is minimized. The single union end design makes installation a breeze, with options for female pipe thread or solvent-weld socket ends.

In the vertical position, the ball-cone seal is maintained by gravity and backpressure (upward flow only), while in other positions, 2 to 4 psi of backpressure is required to maintain the seal. It is important to note that these valves are not suitable for use with petroleum-based substances.
