Legend Valve PVC Ball Check Valve T-655, 1

This valve is perfect for swimming pool, process/wastewater, or corrosive installations where a metallic valve would be vulnerable to attack by the media or surrounding environment. The fully-guided conical-ball design ensures proper seal alignment and a tight seal, regardless of low or high backpressures. Made from 100% virgin resins, this valve accommodates both Schedule 40 and 80 pipe and can easily be converted into a foot valve with the addition of a UPVC strainer (sold separately). Its full port allows for uni-directional flow, minimizing pressure drop. The single union end design makes installation simple and quick. The valve features female pipe thread or solvent-weld socket at both ends.

In the vertical position (upward flow), the ball-cone seals by gravity and backpressure. In other positions, a backpressure of 2 to 4 psi is required for sealing. However, this valve is not recommended for use with petroleum-based medias.
